Terms of service

These terms apply when you use the services of PressExit: moving a website off WordPress, hosting it, and our specialist’s work. You can reach us at contact@pressexit.com.

For businesses only

Our services are for businesses and professionals only, not for consumers. By asking for a quote or placing an order, you confirm that you act for your business or profession.

All our prices exclude VAT. We add VAT where it applies.

Quotes and prices

Each project starts with a quote, which we send by email.

  • Simple sites of up to 300 pages: the quoted price is final. A simple site has pages plus a blog or news, a simple contact form and one language.
  • Larger or more complex sites: above 300 pages, or with any of the features listed on our pricing page, such as several languages or forms connected to a CRM, you get a “from” price plus the specialist’s estimate.
  • Our specialist works at 25 US dollars or 25 euros an hour, in the currency of your quote, and gives you an estimate up front.

If, when we capture your site, we find more than 10% more pages than the quote assumed, we show you the new price and continue only once you confirm it.

Payment

You pay only after you approve the preview of your new site. We launch it once you have paid.

Hosting and your code

We host your new site free of charge. Its code is yours: you can download it at any time and host it elsewhere.

Your site’s data

When we move and host your site, we handle the personal data it contains, such as messages sent through its forms, only on your behalf and only to provide our services. Under the GDPR, you are the controller of that data and we are your processor. Cloudflare hosts it for us, as our sub-processor.

  • Backups. If you upload a backup of your site, we extract only its content. We never extract users, password hashes, sessions or plugin secrets. We delete the backup file as soon as its content has been extracted, and within 7 days of upload at most.
  • Forms. Your site’s forms send each submission to your email address through our relay. We don’t store submissions: we keep only a record of whether each one was delivered.

Sanctions

Under the EU sanctions against Russia (Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014), we provide no services to the Government of Russia or to legal persons, entities or bodies established in Russia. By placing an order, you confirm that you are none of these. We decline any order that these rules prohibit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on the day you accept a quote applies to that project.

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. The provider of the services is PressExit, contact@pressexit.com.
