Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit pressexit.com and ask us for a quote.

Who is responsible

PressExit is responsible for your data: it is the “controller” under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at contact@pressexit.com.

What we collect

When you send the quote form, we store:

  • your website’s address;
  • your email address;
  • your note, if you write one;
  • the language of the page you used, and the currency it showed prices in;
  • your country, as Cloudflare reports it for your connection;
  • a salted hash of your IP address: a code made from the address and a secret key, which lets us limit repeated requests without storing the address itself;
  • the date and time of your request.

Before we accept a request, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that it comes from a person, not a bot. For this check, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details of your browser and connection. We receive only the result.

Why we use it

We use your request only to look at your website and reply with a quote. We use the IP hash and the Turnstile check only to protect the form from spam and abuse. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Our legal basis for replying is your request itself: these are steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, if you write on behalf of a company, our legitimate interest in answering it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For the IP hash and the Turnstile check, it is our legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You don’t have to give us any data, but without your website’s address and your email we can’t send you a quote.

Who else handles it

  • Cloudflare provides our hosting, database, email routing, Turnstile and analytics, and processes your data on our behalf, as our processor. Cloudflare also uses Turnstile’s signals, as a controller in its own right, to improve its bot detection: see its Turnstile privacy addendum.
  • Our email provider hosts the mailbox where your request reaches us and from which we reply.

Some of this processing may take place outside the European Economic Area: Cloudflare, for example, is based in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We delete your request, and our emails about it, 12 months after our last contact with you, unless a migration follows. If one does, the request becomes part of your project’s records.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and does not fingerprint you. It shows us only totals, such as page views, referring sites, countries and browsers.

If you switch the currency, your browser keeps your choice in its local storage, on your device, so that the next pages show prices in the same currency. We learn it only if you send us a quote request.

Your rights

To access, rectify or erase your data, or to object to how we use it, write to contact@pressexit.com. You can also ask us to restrict its use, or to send it to you in a portable format. We reply within one month.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), at www.aepd.es.
